Give radiators a flawless finish with spray paint Get a sleek, professional finish on your radiator using Rust-Oleum Radiator Enamel.
An ultra tough, heat resistant enamel that is specially formulated for finishing the exterior of radiators. Available in white satin, white gloss, silver and chrome, the finish is both washable and moisture resistant and in addition provides rust protection.
Tools needed: Rust-Oleum Radiator Enamel Rust-Oleum Surface Primer Newspaper/ Dust sheets Masking Tape
- Ensure the surface of the radiator is clean and remove all traces of dirt and grease with hot, soapy water and leave to dry.
- Ensure the area in which you are working is well ventilated and cover the area with newspaper to protect floors/ surfaces. Use masking tape to protect pipes/ valves that you do not want to be sprayed.
- Sand any areas where paint is flaking and where there is bare metal or rust, ensure this is treat with Rust-Oleum Surface Primer.
- Spray radiator evenly with your chosen colour, using steady strokes from left to right, keeping the can moving at all times.
- Ensure you follow the instructions on the can. Using Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in Slate Blue and Sage Green we updated an old breadbin and mug tree. We then used Rust-Oleum Textured in Desert Bisque on a tall storage jar. Using Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in Berry Pink, and Rust-Oleum Universal in Sunset Orange, we updated an old trinket box and sweet tin.
