Rust-Oleum – on a mission to get the nation spray painting!
Rust-Oleum spray paint have launched an exciting competition called “Show Us Your Stuff” to encourage the nation to get spray painting.
Every month until the end of 2012 Rust-Oleum are offering customers an opportunity to win great prizes. Participants simply have to send in a photograph of a project they have undertaken with Rust-Oleum spray paint. Each month a panel of judges will award the most original and creative projects.
The winning project will win £250, and ten runners up will each receive a bumper pack of Rust-Oleum spray paint. The launch of the competition coincides with the redesign and re-launch of the Rust-Oleum website, www.rustoleumspraypaint.com. The new-look website is packed with ideas on what to spray paint as well as advice and how-to guides. It currently features spray paint advice from property guru, Sarah Beeny, as well as inspirational looks for the home that can be achieved with spray paint.
Rust-Oleum have worked with specialist interior stylists on the new look website as they were keen to capture current interior trends and influences, “We felt it was important that our website offers similar inspiration that can be picked up in a glossy magazine, but that it be affordable and easy to achieve.” explains Rust-Oleum Product Manager, Emma Irving, “the colours that we have used and objects that we have painted are all key-looks for 2011/2012 and include vintage and retro themes – we intend to keep the inspiration flowing into the website as the trends change.
Plus we can’t wait to see what the nation is spray painting and what interesting photographs we are sent in the “Show Us Your Stuff” competition.” In addition to the website, Rust-Oleum have published their first magazine “Make It Yours”, available free of charge in selected B&Q and Homebase stores from 9th May. The pocket sized magazine contains hundreds of creative ideas for using spray paint in your home and garden.
