Chris Whalen rescued this lovely grand piano from being thrown away and took on the challenge to bringing it back to life. He used two and a half tins of Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Chalk White and added gold details with Rust-Oleum Metallic Finish Furniture Paint to totally transform the piano. The end result is stunning and the piano is unrecognisable from its former self.

Melissa Libberton-Turner has very stylishly transformed a chest of drawers using Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Anthracite as a base and Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Winter Grey as a topcoat. She has then distressed the topcoat to reveal the darker colour below, and decorated the sides of the drawers with Winter Grey stripes. The stripes are a great and simple addition and give the drawers a very high-end designer look.

Justyna Cybal in the search for bedroom furniture for her little girl found a heavily stained chest of drawers and dressing table that were in much need of some tlc. Using Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Duck Egg Justyna has totally revived the pieces and they look gorgeous. With the addition of some crystal knobs and flower stickers for the sides of the drawers, these pieces have gone from drab to fab in no time at all.

Amanda Newman purchased a lovely Toledo Range sideboard, which she kept in her garage until she was confident enough to tackle it. The addition of the silver hinges and handles really completes the look and feel of this piece. A stunning transformation.

Laura Peake inherited a Lloyd loom ottoman from her grandmother and wanted to update it to fit in with her décor whilst also creating a lasting memory of her gran. To achieve this she re-upholstered the lid in polka dot fabric and painted the body with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Flint, a beautiful update that looks great in Laura’s home.

Joan Barnard purchased a battered old bedside table in a dark brown wood from an auction and updated its look by painting it in Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Duck Egg, distressing and then sealing the paintwork with Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax. To add interest she used old leftover wallpaper and papered the unit panels in a pretty floral bird paper and re-attached the deco-style handle completing the look.

Joanne Ryan has beautifully revamped a 1950’s oak dining table and chairs with a contemporary twist. She painted the chairs and the table legs with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Anthracite then sealed the paintwork with Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax. To complete the transformation she re-upholstered the chair cushions with a modern yellow, duck egg and grey print. The finished look is outstanding and looks very high end.

Emma Hill took on the big task of revamping her kitchen cupboards at 37 weeks pregnant, with a brilliant outcome. With a little help from friends and family Emma painted the kitchen first in Zinsser B-I-N primer as a base then over coated with Rust-Oleum Satin Finish Furniture Paint in Slate. In just one weekend she totally transformed her kitchen cupboards from dark wood to a trendy grey tone.

Robert Free has ingeniously upcycled an old display cabinet to create a trendy kitchen dresser, ready for displaying jars of spices, jams and flowers. He began by refiguring the display cabinet by removing the doors and then painting it in Bramwell from the Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint range. With a coat of Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax to seal the paintwork its now ready to take pride of place in his kitchen.

Heather Eyland has very simply updated an old-fashioned pine dressing table she found on Gumtree by painting the main body with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Antique White but leaving the top surface and handles the original wood. With some light distressing around the drawers edges she has created a very desirable piece of furniture that looks great in her home.
