In this make, Hester from hestershandmadehome.com shows you just how easy it is to create beautiful personalised vases using Rust-Oleum’s range of craft friendly paints.
Once complete, display your creation in your home, or give it as a totally unique gift!
Follow the tutorial below to recreate Hester’s design…
Begin by taping a large triangle shape onto the vase. Create a clean line by smoothing the tape down, ensuring you have no gaps.
Paint your first colour within the taped section. Hester used Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in the colour Lemon.
Painter’s Touch can be applied to wood, metal and ceramic, making it ideal for
small craft projects. It’s also suitable for interior and exterior use, so you can place your creations both indoors and outdoors.
If needed, apply a second coat.
Remove the tape.
Leave your vase to dry overnight before applying a smaller taped triangle (this will ensure the paint is fully dry and will not be pulled off by masking tape after the next step).
Within the taped section, apply Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in the colour Light Grey. Allow this to dry and apply a second coat if needed.
Remove the tape.
With a small paint brush, apply random dots and strokes of Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in the Gold to the painted areas of your vase.
Do the same with the Black paint, you want these marks to be
irregular, so don’t think about it too much.
Once fully dry, fill your vase with a beautiful bouquet of dried grasses and dried wildflowers.
