One of the coolest ways to welcome someone to the table is with a personalised message on a chalkboard placemat. It’s a simple and elegant solution to creating a minimalistic table with bags of character.

Just because we’re going monochrome doesn’t mean colour is completely off the menu. Add bright accents throughout the table for an ultra-modern twist: This yellow is perfect for the job!

Monochrome doesn’t have to be block colours. Theme your table around black and white sparkle, the glitter will definitely enhance your festive spread while keeping it sleek and stylish.

Scandinavian or ‘Scandi’ is all the rage with words like hygge popping up out of nowhere and featuring everywhere! So it’s no surprise the Scandinavian style Christmas is going to be popular this year. All you need is a minimal colour palette and some simple texturing to get the look.
Make it yours by spraying your old candleholders to match your theme using Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch.
We love the monochrome craze so much, we made our own! For some extra layers of elegance we used Rust-Oleum Metallic Spray Paint in Bright Copper to create a chic and edgy look. There’s no need to buy everything new, take your old placemats and use Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint in White Satin to expertly co-ordinate your table.
And our favourite has to be the candleholder and silver plate. We took a plain glass plate and candleholder and sprayed them with Rust-Oleum Mirror Effect in Silver. It’s a really easy way to create beautiful items without the expense. The mirror effect is super-stylish and guarantees you’ll be having the glammest Christmas ever.
We even brought the cutlery into the colour scheme using Rust-Oleum Peelable in White. All you need to do is mask the sections you don’t want to be sprayed and you’re ready. Once Christmas is over just peel the paint off.
We loved this project so much we even painted the pinecones. Pick them up from any craft shop for next to nothing and have your Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in White at the ready. After you’ve topped everything off with the fake snow, you’ll be ready to call in the guests and enjoy their reactions to what is guaranteed to be a magnificent Christmas table.
