After a couple of seasons left out in the elements garden furniture can appear to be beyond repair. But all they need is a little love to bring them back to their former glory.
The hard bit is getting started and choosing those all important colour combinations. Before you get down to it, take a look the these transformative project ideas for inspiration…
These metal chairs were found in a salvage yard, cleaned down and given two coats of Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in Heirloom White (Satin). We also touched up the table base with Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in Black (Matt) to unify the various pieces into a eye-catching set.
It doesn’t have to be a full upcycle project, you can get the look by transforming previously dingy, dark greens and browns into crisp whites and creams for a romantic, whimsical look.
With our wicker chair below, we wanted to create something a little more striking.
The old chair wasn’t looking its best so we gave it a bold new look with Rust-Oleum Universal spray paint in Sunset Orange (Gloss). We also used Painter’s Touch spray paint in Berry Pink for our side table to create a contrasting set which is sure to brighten things up no matter what the UK summer has in store for us.
If you’re stuck on what combinations will work best we recommend using shades of vibrant orange and amber for an energetic, lively-vibe. If you’re leaning towards a more rustic style chose blacks and greys to keep things classic.
