9 Ingenious Ways To Make Your Stuff Look More Expensive

Upcycle_striped_base_side_table

Upcycle the old new, make the tired revived and the downright dirty look shiny and new again with the help of spray paint. Trust us, it’s an easy (and inexpensive) way to make the cheap, look chic.

Check out some of these upcycle projects to get your trigger finger ready…

Ready, set, spray!

1. Go potty…

Kate La Vie shows us that IKEA cacti pots can look the part with just a touch of Copper spray paint (and a black sharpie pen)

2. Add sparkle!

Whether they are £20 or 20p wedding accessories, such as these letters,  can be transitioned from grim to glam with a 10-minute glitter spray paint makeover.

3. Upgrade desk accessories

Grey, uniform and uninspiring. There are plenty of reasons to add colour to your desk accessories! Adding a bright, canary yellow spray paint gives them an expensive feel.

4. Revive radiators

The simplest yet most effective spray paint job there is. Rust-Oleum Radiator Enamel spray paint does wonders for the entire room.

5. Upgrade plant pots

Simple yet effective. Adding colour and brightening your outdoor space can be achieved just by upgrading your basic plant pots. Try Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint for a durable finish.

6. Make it metal

This red, plastic cake stand from IKEA was updated with Rust-Oleum Metallic Spray Paint by blogger The Interiors Magpie who has transformed it into something a little more elegant. Behold!

7. Go glossy

This standard metal lampshade is glowing after it’s makeover with Rust-Oleum Mode Spray Paint. The glossy finish adds a luxe, light reflecting sheen.

8. Change the finish

Changing the texture of an object can provide an expensive-looking revamp. We transformed this plastic, heart-shaped book into a stone accessory with Rust-Oleum Stone textured spray.

9. Add detailing

Transforming the basic or bland can be as easy as implementing little design details to a piece. These metallic stripes we added to a simple side table create a stand out feature which adds a touch of luxury.
