For all you budding interior designers out there, we’ve put together a list of what we think will be the best UK design shows of 2017.

All of us at Rust-Oleum can’t recommend these shows and exhibitions enough, as the chance to learn from the experts and soak in the designs really is inspirational!

The January Furniture Show

@ National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham: 22 January – 25 January 2017

This show takes place in the centre of the UK and houses over 500 beautiful exhibits from upholster, cabinet and bed suppliers. There are even home accessories, flooring, lighting and fabric – basically you name it, they have it.

Spring Fair

@ National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham: 5 February – 9 February 2017

Spring Fair is the UK’s No.1 trade show for the gift and home industry. It’s not open to the general public, but it’s a great opportunity for those of you with businesses or students. There are over 5,000 exhibitor stands, which means you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to seeing what’s out there and buying lots of beautiful products at wholesale cost.

Ideal Home Show & Ideal Home Show Manchester

@ Olympia, London: 24 March – 9 April 2017

@ EventCity, Manchester: 8 June – 11 June 2017

Something for everyone, this show features anything from interiors to food and drink, and even fashion too! We love it and think it is a must-see, if you can.

Plus, this year we’re even more excited, as for the first time Good Homes magazine will be bringing their pages to life with ‘Six Ideal Room Sets’ in their London show to get your creative juices flowing. And while you’re there don’t forget the Ideal Theatre, where experts will be doing talks and demonstrations throughout the event.

Living North LIVE: Yorkshire’s Spring Fair & The North East’s Spring Fair

@ York Racecourse, York: 24 March – 26 March 2017

@ Newcastle Racecourse, Newcastle: 28 April – 30 April 2017

Living North LIVE is the most established shopping event in the North of England. Sections of the show include, Food & Drink, Health & Beauty, Homes & Gardens and much more, with inspiring room sets and advice from local experts.

Grand Designs Live

@ ExCel London, London: 29 April – 7 May 2017

Grand Designs Live covers everything you could possibly imagine. It looks amazing with exciting sections such as Grand Interiors, Grand Kitchens, Grand Bathrooms, Grand Gardens and even features Celebrities & Experts.

With over 500 exhibitors, this is a brilliant opportunity to see the latest trends in the flesh and even first-looks at many brand new products.

London Design Festival

@ Various Venues, London: 16th September – 24th September 2017

The London Design Festival celebrates design and creativity in several venues across London. Expecting over 27,000 exhibitors, this is set to be huge yet again. A beautiful and inspiring festival, this is not to be missed, covering all aspects of design from interior to technology.

London Design Fair

@ Old Truman Brewery, London: 21 September – 25 September 2017

The London Design Fair is taking place alongside the London Design Festival, it is a must-see collection of 500 exhibitors from 28 different countries within the Old Truman Brewery in East London. The perfect setting to let your inspiration loose!

Scottish Home Show

@ AECC, Aberdeen: 29 September – 1 October 2017

The Scottish Home Show will be returning for its sixth year in 2017. This event is the biggest home improvement exhibition show in the North East of Scotland. The organisers pride themselves on creating a family-friendly atmosphere, with over 200 experts across all three days. Whether you’re looking to refurbish your home or to build a new one entirely, you’ll find an expert to talk to and a tonne of inspiration!
