Thank you to all who entered our Make it Yours competition in February. It was a tough month for judging with so many inspirational upcycles and transformation projects to choose from. However, with much deliberation, we have chosen 10 runners up and our lucky top prize winner.
The top prize this month of £250 went to Pati Robins who painted the whole inside of her airing cupboard with a Dalmatian pattern using Rust-Oleum Chalkboard Paint to add a bit of depth to her amazing micro office! We love how inventive this is!
Robert Cartwright completely transformed his fireplace with Rust-Oleum. He painted his fire surround with two coats of Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch spray paint in Almond. Next, he coated the fire back and hearth with Rust-Oleum Stone spray paint in Black Granite paint. Amazing work!
Barbara Owens transformed this vintage dresser with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Violet Macaroon, hand stencilled with a French patisserie design. We love it!

Sarah Dunn’s dark wood sideboard has been upcycled into a vibrant statement piece of furniture that even got the cat’s attention! She used Rust-Oleum Satin Finish Furniture Paint in Teal to create this vibrant fresh look.
Katherine O’Sullivan rescued this piano from a council collection lorry on its way to the tip! She transformed the piano with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Laurel Green and protected her paintwork with Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax in Clear. Now it has a loving new home!
Kirsti Potter transformed a 1980s pine dresser with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Graphite. She also sanded the top panel to reveal the bare wood.
Zeta revamped her cloakroom entirely by panting the tiles on the wall, the flush, the pipes and the floor tiles with Rust-Oleum Universal All Surface Paint in Satin Black and White.
Kinga painted an old wooden bedside table with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Ink Blue and protected her work with Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax in Clear. She added a pretty gold handle in the shape of a bee to complete the look.
Lilla completely transformed her dressing table! The outer wood was painted with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Winter Grey, Antique White and Anthracite. The inner drawers were painted with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Dusky Pink. The handles were sprayed with Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Craft Enamel in Silver. The legs dipped with Rust-Oleum Metallic Gold spray paint. Finally she protected the paintwork with a mixture of Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax in Clear and Dark.
