Remove any loose paint or rust by scraping and wire brushing or sanding your garage door. Once you’ve ensured that the surface is smooth, clean your garage door with Krud Kutter Cleaner / Degreaser to remove any contaminants. Wipe with a damp cloth and allow to dry. Use masking tape to mask off any areas you do not wish to paint, such as the edge of the garage door.
Tip: Protect yourself with a mask and/or goggles and lay down a dust sheet to protect your drive from paint drips and splatters.
Stir the Metal Expert Garage Door Paint thoroughly before use.
Apply the paint by brush or roller. If rollering, use a short to medium nap mohair roller. Two coats are recommended for the perfect finish. Allow 4 hours drying time before applying the second coat.
