What better way to get inspiration than to immerse yourself in some of the UK’s top homes and interiors shows?

We’ve pulled together a shortlist of this year’s best shows, take your pick…

1. Taste of Design – (10th May – 25th May)

Now in it’s 19th year this year’s exclusive roadshow will take a select number of brands on a journey across the country, stopping in five locations including London’s Hampton Court all the way up to Dublin.

Pairing iconic venues with luxury brands, this design event is definitely one for high end designers wanting to balance business and pleasure.

2. Gardener’s World Live – (16th-19th June)

One for the green-fingered among you – Gardener’s World Live lines up expert talks, practical demos and transformation tips for your plot, no matter what the size.

It’s also the only gardening show to offer FREE entry to the Summer edition of BBC Good Food Live. Win-Win.

3. The HOUSE Fair – (22nd June)

In association with House & Garden, this event is co-located at London’s Olympia alongside The Spirit of Summer Fair – two for the price of one. Titled The Definitive Event to Style Your Home, the hand-picked cohort of designers and brands has been carefully selected to showcase the best styles around.

As part of the event they are also offering one-to-one consultations and expert advice on your next house project, because sometimes all you need is a point in the right direction.

4. New Designers – (Part One: 29th June – 2nd July / Part Two: 6th – 9th July)

If you’re interested in what the new generation of designers has to offer the interiors world, New Designers is the place to be.

Inviting the UK’s top graduates to London’s Business Design Centre, the creative flair of each individual is laid out on the table for the design savvy public and potential employers to see. Hosted in two parts, 2016 will see in the 31st edition of the event.

5. Kirstie Alsopp presents The Handmade Fair – (16th-18th September)

Meet the experts for tips and tricks, shop til you drop and up your skills in the interactive workshops before settling down to some glorious grub at the Artisan Marketplace.

This three-day event invites like minded makers to The Green at Hampton Court Palace to enjoy mug painting, furniture upcycling and everything in between.

6. London Design Festival– (17th-25th September)

Building momentum year on year The London Design Festival was conceived to showcase the unique artistic creativity of the countries greatest thinkers and educators. Supported by The Arts Council England the programme is made up of over 400 events across a wide range of design specialisms.

7. Scottish Home Show– (23rd-25th September)

Welcoming back Linda Barker, Tommy Walsh and Charlie Dimmock plus 200 experts under one roof, this year’s Scottish Home Show takes place in Aberdeen.

The three-day home improvements exhibition returns bigger and better this year and will be split into separate zones including self build, art & retail, gardening & outdoors, interiors and food & drink.

8. The Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair – (27th September – 2nd October)

A family-owned fair that dates back to 1985. This event is their autumn installment for the busy ‘design season’. If you can’t make this one they also hold a Winter Fair in January and a Spring Fair in April.

Head over to Battersea Pank for this one. Encompassing 140 exhibitors from across the UK and Europe you’ll find a wealth of period design. Anything from £15 vintage trinkets to an official David Hockney print.

9. The Ideal Home Show at Christmas – (23rd-27th November)

Retuning to London Olympia for another year of festive fulfilment, The Ideal Home team give us inspiration for gifts, interiors and the all important Christmas spread.

From accessories to gadgets and fashion to glitzy deccies not a stone has been left unturned.

10. Country Living Christmas Fair – (2016 dates to be confirmed)

Find perfect presents and beautiful decorations at London BDC, Islington. Last year they offered up a Christmas theatre, bar, tearoom and late night shopping – what could they do to trump it this time around?
