Thank you to all who entered our Make it Yours competition in October. It was a tough month for judging with so many inspirational upcycles and transformation projects to choose from. However, with much deliberation, we have chosen 10 runners up and our lucky top prize winner.
The top prize this month of £250 went to Zoe, who added a fab pop of colour to the inside of her front door, using Rust-Oleum Universal All- Surface Paint, Canary Yellow, gloss finish. This really lightens the porch way and works well.
Isabella Moorhouse hand stencilled her tiled floor and walls with Rust-Oleum Universal All-Surface Paint in White and Dark Grey. Completely transforming the look and feel of the bathroom. Well done!
Helen painted her Edwardian fireplace with Rust-Oleum Stove and BBQ Spray Paint in Black Matt. Along with new flooring and a lick of paint, the look is complete.
Leanne transformed her vintage TV cabinet from deep mahogany with some signs of wear and tear, using Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Blue Silk, finishing it with an overlay of Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax, Dark. The piece was then distressed and gold detailing was added using Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch, Gold to finish the piece. Excellent job!
Rob painted a Lantern bought from Ebay, first printing with Rust-Oleum Surface Primer, followed by a top coat of Rust-Oleum Gun Metal Spray Paint. Rob then fitted LED lights to his masterpiece. We love it!
Clare Waugh updated a mid century bureau with Rust-Oleum Satin Finish Furniture Paint in Slate. Clare freshened up the metal work with Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch, Gold. Great job.
Eliza used Rust- Oleum Painter’s Touch Spray Paint in Berry Pink to transform a sheep garden ornament. This looks bright and bold. Nice job!
Hollie decorated two plants pots, creating an ombre effect using Rust-Oleum White Gold Metallic and Rust-Oleum Gun Metal Metallic spray paint.
Lauren Thompson painted her vinyl record player, giving it a shabby chic look to match with the rest of her furniture. Using Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Chalk White and a protective coat of Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax, Clear.
Naomi Sisson painted the back rests of mid- century dining chairs to compliment her beetle fabric design, using Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Fire Brick and Belgrave.
Sarah renovated an Austin Suite tall boy unit with Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Furniture Paint in Antique White and Rust-Oleum Satin Finish Furniture Paint in Slate for her new home. We love this new fresh look.
