As with any painting project, begin by cleaning the surface you wish to paint with a damp cloth. This will remove any grease or contaminants which may effect the final result.
For this project we only wanted to paint the tabletop so marked off any edges that might be at risk of excess paint. This will ensure a clean and tidy finish.
Before starting you need to give the paint a good stir to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed.
Because the area to be painted is a large flat surface it’s a good idea to invest in a roller, as this will be much faster and give a smooth, even finish. Two to three coats is ideal.
Once it’s dry your art-friendly table is ready to draw on. Top Tip! Rub chalks sideways over the surface and wipe away – this will reduce chalky residue.
